I have had a Stroke

We were on vacation in Florida when I lost control of the right side of my body. I cannot see properly and I cannot move my right arm or leg. We are currently getting the extent of the damage sorted out and will report as further details become clarified.

  5. I’m so sorry to hear this, Mr. David. I had the pleasure of meeting you this year, at the New York Comic Con, where I wore Cassie Sandsmark’s first Wonder Girl outfit from the Young Justice series. I was the young lady who waited 2 hours for you at your table, with a jeans vest, in tow. God bless, & my thoughts & prayers are with you. 🙂

I had the pleasure of meeting you this year, at the New York Comic Con, where I wore Cassie Sandsmark’s first Wonder Girl outfit from the Young Justice series. I was the young lady who waited 2 hours for you at your table, with a jeans vest, in tow. I grew up reading your Supergirl series. Loved it from the first page. God bless, & my thoughts & prayers are with you. 🙂

  7. You have made me smile so much through your wonderful imagination and humor over the years. Sending many hugs to help propel you to a full recovery.

  8. I don’t have anything to add that hasn’t been said, but I’m going for volume. I want you to know just how many people love you and your work. There are stories and columns you wrote years ago that I still think about several times a month.

  9. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope you were able to catch the symptoms in time for quick treatment to minimize the damage.

  10. Peter, probably not much good that the wishes of a lapsed Catholic will do, but my prayers are with you for a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.

  11. Peter, I’m so sorry to hear this. You can make a full recovery, though; I hope you recover quickly. All my best.

  12. I was shocked. When I decided to leave super-hero comics behind, in the early nineties, you were the only author I still wanted to follow. When I returned to comics, you were among the first I had to check.

I don’t pray, I’ve never met you, I just wish you recover as quickly and as fully as you can. Keep fighting. Get well.

  13. Oh my God! I wish you a quick and full recovery with no unforseen complications.

I don’t know what else to say.

  14. I suppose there were a lot of people who were also trying to get to this blog entry for more information because when I originally tried to get here (and I swear this happened) I just got a blank page with the message, “Error establishing a database connection.” And I thought, “Well, that’s not funny, Internet.” Good luck, sir. Hopefully, that you were able to get this post up is a good sign.

  15. I’ve had relatives who experienced similar strokes, so I know that the road ahead of you probably won’t be easy, but it will be worth the effort. Best of luck to you, Peter.

  16. Hey Peter! Best wishes from your fans in Spain, we hope a fast recovery and we want see you again make us laugh! The first is your health, but we are sure that you can defeat this villain! We wait you, Pete. Be strong, we are with you.

  17. Peter,

My thoughts and prayers are with you. My Dad suffered a stroke when he visited me a few years ago. It was quite scary, but now you cannot even tell that it occurred. I hope for similar good fortune for you.

  18. Hi Peter! Here’s hoping Doctor McCoy stops by with his little beeping thingy, affixes it to your head, and rightly demands your name and rank. Remember to reply with “David, Peter. Rank: Admiral.” Get well soon, sir.

  19. What terrible and shocking news! Hoping for your speedy recovery. Take care and feel better soon.

  20. I also want to add my voice to the chorus and will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Your comics have meant a lot to me over the years, Young Justice is still one of my favourite series.
