Favorite X-Factor characters?

Just out of the sake of my own curiosity, I’d be interested to know who your top two favorite X-Factor characters are? I’m saying “two” going on the assumption that if I said “Who’s your favorite” most people would say Madrox.

So who’re your top two?

Feel free to pass this query to other boards. I’d like to know peoples’ opinions.

    PAD, just a question please, when will we see more of monet’s super-duper ultra mega intelligence? or her IQ just a part of the twin package? I missed it (but atleast she answered simpleton).

  3. PAD: I’ve read a lot of your stuff over the years, but I have to say I’m not a big X-Factor fan because of Madrox. That’s not a jab at you. I’ve just never liked the character. I know I’m in the minority, but if you’re planning to knock off a character, he should be your first, second, third, etc. choice.
    I promise to buy a subscription if you eliminate him!

    Two favorite X-Factor characters all-time are Strong Guy and Beast.
    From the current team, which is probably what you want to know, Strong Guy and Wolfsbane.

  5. I’m digging Madrox. I’m an aspiring writer/artist myself, and I’ve always thought everyone overlooked Madrox’s potential until you started working on him. Given the nature of his power, he could support an ongoing title all by himself. I just dig the way you didn’t actually change his power, but rather just really examined, insightfully, what his ability meant.

  14. Only 2 🙁 Thats tough. Well besides Madrox, I’ll go with Rictor because he can rock the world of both guys and girls… without powers. 🙂 I think that Rictor should join the X-men and rock Bobby Drake’s world. That’d be nice.

    My other favorite character is Layla. She’s so evil! But in a good way.

    The entire team is awesome though minus Guido.

  18. Madrox is far and away my #1.

    Beyond that the book is populated by characters that I don’t care a great deal about, but don’t actually dislike (Siryn, M), ones that I quite like but can’t say I’m a fan of (Quicksilver, Layla Miller, Wolfsbane), one that X-Factor has made me like (Rictor) and one that I’ve always disliked (Guido)

    I’ll pick Wolfsbane as my number two because she seems like a tough character to write well, given that I like her character description but rarely like the stories she’s in, and that you’ve changed that in X-Factor.

Well of course Madrox is my absolute favorite, but it seems pretty apparant that what the real question was “who is your top two favorite characters besides Madrox?” I’ll assume that Madrox is defacto Double Plus 1, or some sort of uber category that defies that laws of normal numerical ranking systems and is simply beyond all that.

    In that case I pick Rictor and Monet, with Layla and the rest of the gang constantly giving those two a run for their money in maintaining their vaunted status.

  27. Hhmmm… I would say Madrox for sure, and maybe Layla. But I can’t really vote, I like them all!!!!

  28. Number 1 for me is Layla — you took someone that could have been strictly a plot device and turned her into one of the most intriguing new characters in a while.

    Number 2 I think is M. In the past I would have said Guido, but over the past year or so I’m finding myself drawn to M much more — probably because she’s as much of a bìŧçh as I am :P.

  31. Madrox and Guido, definitely. Layla, Monet and Theresa all follow. Rahne and Rictor I can do without.

  33. my top 2 are definitely Madrox and Layla, but i have no idea who would be my favorite between the two of them.

  35. 1i’m too hoping it has nothing to do with killing the one with least votes cause i like them all…
    but i noticed i missed layla dearly when she was absent in the Jamie quest issues. and of course i like jamie the man (the men?)

    but the book rocks. keep all the characters!

  39. Well, Jamie, clearly ^_~ And i think the joke’s already been made about him being number one and two.

    I don’t think he’s part of X-factor, but he’s been in the book recently, and he IS my fav. X-men character ever (Jamie being number three on that list), so I’mma go with Pietro.

    Though if I had to chose someone who was actually part of the team, I’d go with Rahne.

  42. so number one is easy (madrox.)

    number 2: before x-factor 24 it was guido after x-factor 24 it is now layla. the part with the penny was classic.

    I’m sure peter will change my number two next week considering it switches with every issue. to me that is great character development. oh and I know I’m not the only one wondering this but any idea if we will see layla/mardox wedding? or is this a plot device?

  43. I didn’t read the original X-Factor much, but Maddrox has become a really interesting character under the new X-Factor.

    I’d have a hard time picking my top 2, but an easy top 4 (cheating, I know) would be Maddrox, Layla Miller (she already knows this, of course), Monet and Siryn. No particular order.

  48. C’mon. The characters with the best chemistry in the series are the top two, namely Layla and Pietro. It’s a no-brainer.
