AND THIS JUST IN…

John Kerry thwarted critics today who tried to smear him with a thirty-year-old picture of his attending an anti-war rally with Jane Fonda by saying, “Wait a minute, that’s not me. That’s the British guy who played the annoying next door neighbor on “The Jeffersons.”

  1. Tim,

I’ve tried to avoid many of these decades-old discussions, but what exactly would constitute “evidence that he did his duty”? He has shown his flight, medical and pay records as well as his honorable discharge. I guess I just wonder how much evidence is enough?

  2. Explain to me exactly how John Kerry and Ted Kennedy are responsible for the tax situation in Massachusetts?

Sounds like it’s as much your fault as theirs, if you’re from there too.

How is it my fault?? Im a tax payer too. so where am I too blame? Like I said, come to MA to try and find a job that is higher than min. wage and let me know if you get hired and when you do, take a good look at your pay check and the amount of taxes taken out and tell me again how Kerry the war hero will make a good prez> I cant type out MA’s record for you. Teddy/Kerry RUN this state and don’t think they don’t. The Big Dig for example. Go look it up. Cost us tax payers a $$$$$$ over the years. If you’re that navie into thinking that Kerry would be good for this country then good luck. You’re going to need it. Do you see this guy Kerry ever getting his hands dirty working for min. wage? We are the poorest state in the nation, so, tell me how we got that way?? New businesses refuse to come here cause they can’t afford to open up shop because everything is too expensive, no jobs, no people. I’ve been jobless in this state for over a year. No work. No place to apply and I have, believe me.

    Do the math.

  3. Also, in the last 35 years since Kerry’s been in office. this is the most I have ever seen the man on television and Im from the same state. For 35 years he sat on his ášš and didn’t even bother voting half the time. Oh yea, he’s real good for the country alright.

  4. Dee:[I]n the last 35 years since Kerry’s been in office. this [sic] is the most I have ever seen the man on television and Im [sic] from the same state.

It’s been my experience that, considering the kinds of things that get news coverage, the less of your senators/representatives that you see on television, the better off you are.

Dee:I’m going to Canada, maybe there, I’ll be able to find a real job.

That threat would carry a lot more weight if you weren’t still in MA (which Kerry & Kennedy apparently run as dictators). If you won’t flee your state, why would we believe you’d flee your country?

  5. I lived in MA for the first 23 years of my life, but moved to NH. Not for political reasons though, I moved because I love living on a mountain and getting back to nature and stuff. It’s been quite a while since I’ve had a civics or social studies class, or any class related to government for that matter. Plus, I went to art school, so I ain’t well versed in politics and government. So, my question is, to Dee or anyone else who could answer, what impact did Kennedy and Kerry have on MA? Do they actually have the power to control the taxes of the state? I’m owning up to my ignorance here, but I thought they represented the state in Congress/Senate and voted on national matters, whereas the governor would be the one who contolled the state tax. Also, I’d like to know if Dee thinks the state is turning around now that Mitt Romney is there. And I’m wondering why he still lives in MA if it sucks so bad.

  6. Ok fine, believe what you want. You Dems are like sheep. You don’t think for yourselves. If you can’t think out of the box for yourselves then you deserve to have Kerry. I’m on the verge of fleeing this dreadful state if I don’t find a job soon. Like I said, come work here and then you can see for yourself what Kerry/Teddy has done to the sate of MA. Last post by me on this topic. Go ask people who have lived here and worked here what they thought of this welfare state I’m stuck in cause I’m too poor to do anything about it??? Ask around…Come here to work for a week then look at your paystub and compare it to a paystub from another state. Do the math. How do you think they got rich off this state in the firstplace? Kerry is a classic gold digger. He married into money. He never had to work a real job in his life. so, good luck, keep your gold digging war hero Dem for Prez. He wont beat Bush. You had a better chance with Dean. Im not going to argue anymore about this. Im from MA lived here all my life and I know all too well what goes on here.

  7. I refuse to answer stupid questions. You seriously dont believe they run the state of MA then you really are truely ignorant or just plain stupid. Ive lived her for 40 years. I’ve worked here as well as voted here. Yeah they vote Kerry for 35 years hardly showed up to cast his votes and when he did, he flipflops. He votes the sameway Teddy does. I’m just as liberal as the next person. Im not on the left however. I am an Indoe voter. Like I said, go lookup MA’s track & tax records. Then ask yourself: WHY IS MA THE HIGHEST TAXED STATE IN THE COUNTRY??? and how we got there? Teddy/Kerry. We’re higher than CA. So, you tell me again how this can be if it weren’t for Teddy/Kerry dipping their hands in the till??

Howard Dean SHOULD have been the Dens choice. Kerry was rock bottom until some dirty pool made him on top. How quickly you people forget….

  8. PS: and what cracks me up the most is, I bet NONE of you even knew who Kerry was prior to this crap. and you prob still have no clue except what the media tells you about him. Sheep, pure sheep.

  9. Dee, I’m convinced. Once I realized I was not only reading the words of someone old enough to vote, but a voice of experience, I realized I should look past the basic lack of articulate communication, slipshod reasoning, and vacant logic to the point within, namely that I am DUM, I didn’t know who Kerry was (I thought I did, since I’ve been admiring his stances on many issues, particularly the environment, for years), and that I’m a sheep because I don’t amble along in the wake of the wisdom o’ Dee.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. And don’t let those last three final posts you made be your last final post. We need you here so that you — er, I mean, we might learn something.

  10. Dee, you repeat much of what you have said previously, but don’t really answer questions or back up your statements other than to say that we should all move to MA to find out. Or that we’re dumb (implied) for following Democrats like sheep…instead of following your beliefs like sheep.

“How do you think they got rich off this state in the firstplace? Kerry is a classic gold digger. He married into money.” -Dee

Kind of indicates he didn’t get his wealth off the state, doesn’t it?

“He never had to work a real job in his life. so, good luck, keep your gold digging war hero Dem for Prez. He wont beat Bush.’ -Dee

Um, so what real jobs has the current president had to work? His family is pretty well to do if I remember correctly.

“Then ask yourself: WHY IS MA THE HIGHEST TAXED STATE IN THE COUNTRY??? and how we got there? Teddy/Kerry. We’re higher than CA. So, you tell me again how this can be if it weren’t for Teddy/Kerry dipping their hands in the till??” -Dee

Projects like the big dig perhaps. And I also have to question if this is indeed a fact, that MA is the highest taxed state. I haven’t researched it or seen any data, so I don’t know. And as far as being the poorest, I don’t have any info on that either, and I’m not really ambitious enough to go research either right now. Is there an article or some such you could refer us to with some cold hard facts that you are basing these statements on, or are these just opinions grown from your frustration?

And as far as there being no jobs, I know for a fact that there are jobs in MA, but perhaps just not jobs in your field, or jobs you’d be willing to do even just to make the money to leave the state. If you were that desperate to leave, you’d work at Wal Mart or Taco Bell or take on several part time jobs and save up. Our own situations are only as hopeless and futile as our willingness to concede and do what it takes to reach our goals.

    Monkeys.

  11. Just jumping in WAY after the fact:

If Mass IS the highest-taxed state in the country, wouldn’t that be ont he heads of the state reps and not the state’s representatives to the federal government?
