So noted…

The “Dark Tower” received multiple nominations in the Eisner balloting for the limited series as well as the work of Jae Lee and Richard Isanove. And the novelization of “Iron Man” landed on the New York Times expanded Bestseller list on #29.
Personally, I’m a little bummed that the Eisners ignored the magnificent premiere edition of “Fallen Angel” that IDW put out. Chris Ryall and the guys did an outstanding job of putting that package together; would have been nice to see that acknowledged in the reprint category.

  1. Congratulations on the kudos, Peter.
As for the Fallen Angel premiere edition being shut out of the Eisners, their loss. It has a proud place on my library shelf.
Or to put it another way: Alfred Hitchcock and “High Noon” never won an Oscar, Eminem and “The Greatest Show On Earth” have.

  2. Hey, Pete.
FA Premiere WAS a really nice collection. What are the chances of a follow-up now that enough material should be available?
FA is one series that I enjoy enough to buy twice.

  3. I picked up the Iron Man novelization the other day and read the opening chapter.
As expected, you nailed the character and was able to ‘show the future’ by way of the character’s comic book past (Stark’s becoming an alcoholic) in only a couple of sentences. Brilliant stuff.
I’ll have to try and start reading the book in full as soon as I see the movie. 🙂

  4. I enjoyed the Iron Man novelization. Read it the day it came out. I also just got the galley for Tigerheart, which I look forward to reading (I already added the info for it to your Wikipedia article). Hopefully you’ll sign it if I ever meet you in person!

  5. I almost bought the Iron Man novelization just before leaving for a recent week-long trip to Mexico. Instead, I purchased your “Before Dishonor” ST:TNG novel.
LOVED it. Too bad I’ll never get to see it adapted into live-action. Will buy (and read) your Iron Man book AFTER I see the movie.* Will also buy Incredible Hulk novelization in same manner. Don’t want spoilers.

*I don’t buy novelizations before the movie anymore. Not after reading “The Empire Strikes Back” before seeing it all those years ago, and having the big Yoda reveal ruined for me. D’oh!
