We’ve had to switch to a registration system for comments. The first time you post, your comments will go into a holding tank until we approve you. Subsequent comments from the same recognized commenter will be posted immediately.
This may take a bit to catch up with new comments; bear with us. Feel free to use this thread to make your comments, so we can approve them.
UPDATE: Comments are taking longer to fix than anticipated. Stop posting here, we’ll let you know when things get back to normal.

So…read and loved the “Spider-Man 2” novelization. Didn’t bother me to do it in that order with the first movie so I figure I’m okay here.
Found a couple of copies of “Howling Mad” at a local place so I bought them and farmed them out to folks I thought would like them. Plus kept a replacement for my own copy since it’s falling apart from re-reading.
Loving “Fallen Angel,” even if I’m doing it the ‘old fashioned’ way of one issue at a time. Not sure finances will also let me swing the trade, but I’ll give it a shot.
Hope using my ‘spam drop’ email account is okay.
This is Tom’s comment. Comment, Tom, comment. Above is the link to Tom’s new Pop Culture blog. Pimp, Tom, pimp.
I rarely comment here, but I’m glad to register. Those idiots (or that ONE idiot) were out of control. Shame.
I never post anyway, but I crave this “approval” you speak of.
Sad that it has to have come to this all because of one lousy person.
Or this.
Hello,
Long time poster, first time registrant.
Thank you, have a nice day
Why this is the first time I haven’t been “pre-approved” for something since I turned 18!
Sorry if this is a double post, but my first didn’t show after the page reloaded.
Long time reader, rare poster.
Is the new registration policy REALLY due to the actions of one (albeit really obnoxious) poster’s actions? It seems abrupt, just short of extreme, to me. I have no problem with it personally, since I’m pretty sure I won’t be causing any problems with anyone here, but it strikes me as overkill. Just curious.
Hey, I had to find some reason to justify this message beyond registration!
Third attempt to post.
Um, hello,
Please ignore the last 2 messages. My reading comprehension isn’t so good at 2am.
Too bad that it had to come to this, but as you say, it was inevitable.
Hopefully this will help.
Look, it’s a combination first post and question for Mr. David! 🙂
You’ve written a lot of memorable characters over the years such as Spider-Man 2099, Supergirl, Hulk and Captain Marvel. My question is: are there any characters you would NOT be willing to return to if given the opportunity? And if so, why?
Hrm. This is a comment. What to comment on? Hey, one of the free comic books has a story in it that was adapted from the original Manga by Peter and Kathleen David. How cool is that?
Wakka-Ding-Hoy!
Meka-leka-ho-meka-hiney-ho.
Chinag-Chang-Walla-Walla-Bing-Bang.
Thank you and goodnight.
It’s a shame it has to come to this, but I understand it’s necessary.
Testing again…
Obviously since you’ve gone to a registration system, that one persistent individual must have tried posting from a variety of IP addresses. Now that’s the definition of a real obsessive “fan”. Not necessarily good, because next thing you know he/she/it might follow you home and try to get into the house one day. Unfortunately, you’ve probably garnered a “friend for life”. Also a pain in the tuchus for life. Such is the price of fame. Hopefully he/she/it will just go away.
Testing one more time…

Hi. I read this blog nearly daily, rarely comment, but I’m registering so if I ever want to- I can.
Fair enough
Nothing to say now but I reserve the right to post at a later time. Well, I suppose technically it’s a privilege so I request the ability to further coment…
So, how are the numbers of the Fallen Angel trade doing so far…?
Good numbers, I hope. Great series!
Given the choice between the nuisance of entering a login code and the nuisance of sorting through troll effluvia, I’ll log in anytime.
What is a Typekey identity ???
off blog
Anagram of George W Bush = begs huge row
I haven’t had anything to say in a while, but I applaud the decision and reserve the right to make a minor nuisance of myself should the whim strike me. Politely, with minimal bile spewed (barring demonic posession).
duh…somehow I can’t get this thing to even let me post this one little message.
sigh…
Just posting here to get posting rights… if you know what I mean.
And to say that I completely agree with the banning of “Dee”.
Fine, fine, registering I understand. But why am I wearing watermelon on my feet?
Sorry it had to shake out this way, Glenn, but it’s often what happens with a popular blog.
Another lurker just registering. 🙂
hmmmmm
Just getting prepared for future posts…
Rarely post, but figured I’d register for when I want to do so.
Testing, testing. Is this thing on?
Testing, testing. Is this thing on?
Swordfish.
Now let me in .
🙂
Nothing really useful to comment on. Just wanted to test this new “moderated” posting system.
I’ve been so busy that my copy of Fallen Angel #11 and Astonishing X-men #1,have been sitting on my desk for almost two weeks and didn’t even have time to flip their pages, or read them properly.
Yep, I’m really late in reading, it takes almost two to three weeks to a book released in the US reach Brazilian Lands. As far as I’m concerned, Fallen Angel #12, will only arrive this week or either next week here.
Ironic that my first post is just to register.
Oh well, back to Lurking.
Haven’t yet hit the post/thread that made this registration system nessecary (and I’m almost afraid to read the contents of that post(s), to tell the truth). But if this is the new law of the land, so to speak, then I’ll do it. Just don’t suddenly decide to ban/punish those of us who choose to use freebie e-mail sites like Yahoo and Hotmail by banning us from the board as well. (One of the popular comic newsites has instituted a policy of not accepting any new registrents who supply a ‘throwaway’ address from places like Yahoo and Hotmail because of some problems they had with a bunch of abusive trolls who used such addresses to bypass their bannings from said boards. While the banning may have stopped those trolls it has also stopped a fair amount of people who have legitimate reasons to use throwaway addresses in their postings as well. Just saying I hope things don’t deteriorate to that point here too.)
Chris
good call Mr.David
So, is it working yet?
Register me. I’m a frequent reader, not so frequent poster. Thanks and hope this works to keep the comment section a little less rabid – in the bad sense of the word.
Glenn,
The error (“The site you’re trying to comment on has not signed up for this feature. Please inform the site owner.”) that I’m seeing is because the URL to the MT-directory needs to be set correctly in the setup Movable Type. Here’s a thread from the support site:
http://www.movabletype.org/support/index.php?act=ST&f=27&t=42105&s=520c17cd552246ed5ae51980be7cf5ea
If you’ve already seen this, great, but since I’d seen the same error I fugured I’d run it by you. Some people have reported that they end up putting multiple URL paths in the TypePad setup to make it work.
Registration, ho!
Hi
Sorry that this had to be done, but here i am registering
