What do you regular readers want on this site? Pretty logos for Cowboy Pete’s TV Roundup? A forced migration to Movable Type so you can get trackbacks? More guest posts by me, to cover the lag times between Peter’s posts, or less comments from me all together? Any other particular suggestions for site improvements? What? Whaaat?
(Why no, this has nothing to do with learning Mark Evanier got over $1000 in tips over three days. Why do you ask?)

As for me, I want…I want…I want everything I’ve ever seen in the movies!
(Or, barring that, Broadway tickets to The Producers, oh, sometime in the first three months of 2004…)
Facetiousness aside, I’m agree with those asking for a quote feature, and possibly a feature allowing one to edit their own posts.
I’d also suggest that the notations about how to use bold, underlines, italics, etc. ought be more prominent, seeing as how some comments get sidetracked with goofy formatting that, I guess, arises from mistaken initial usage.
Another “yes” for old BID columns — with a particular emphasis on the ones that aren’t in the TPB. I know PAD has said that some columns just don’t age well, but I like reading them just to admire PAD’s prose technique.
As somebody else suggested, old scripts would also be cool — if that’s possible. Man, I would be thrilled to read a Peter David Hulk script. (I’ve been re-reading his Hulk run for the umpteenth time recently, and it still works so well for me.)
What about adding a message board / forum – type dealio, whereby fans could start discussion threads?
1. No posts by Glenn. This is Peter’s site, and I visit it to read blog entries by him, and the responses of others to them. (No offense, Glenn, but you have your own website.)
2. The ability to respond to old blog entries that are no longer on the main page, but archived away.
3. Similarly to #2, it’d be nice if visitors here could start their own topics and pose questions not directly related to Peter’s blog entries, but provided that they bear some relevance to him, his work, or ongoing topics of debate on this site.
Okay, here’s what you do.
1) Plug your microphone into your
soundboard, open up the volume control and turn the gain to maximum.
2) Turn on your speakers (assuming they have an on/off switch), set their volume to maximum on the control panel
3) Place the microphone in front of
one of the speakers.
Earlier someone suggested less politics. While I don’t really enjoy Peter’s political themed posts it IS Peter’s site and he should be able to post what he dámņ well pleases. If me, or anyone else, don’t like the political posts then we don’t have to read them. I feel that we can make requests of Peter but I wouldn’t tell him what NOT to post. Maybe that’s just me.
As for Glenn posting on the blog, he really only posts in his capacity as the administrator of the site. Again, it’s Peter’s site, and if he’s OK with it then who am I to complain?
More BID’s would be nice, but I’m still hoping for a transcript of “Bye Bye Buffy.”
I also want that “Bye, Bye, Buffy”-Script.
As for Glenn: If Peter allows him to post, I’m cool with that. It’s not as if he posts every day, y’know. And being the administrator for this site, I want to thank him for helping to make this sblog possible.
Pascal
Glen:
The one thing I would like to see at this site is some kind of “back to top” function when you get to the bottom of a topic.
Thank you in advance.
I’m another one with a request for more old BIDs, plus another collection of them.
For many of the suggestions that ask that PAD post MP3s, short stories, or other original items, I think that adding a Tip Jar (or, in the case of original fiction, requiring a $1 or more a download) is completely reasonable. It is a good way to show your appreciation for PAD’s talent and the time he put into doing something extra for the people who visit this site.
Tip Jars are voluntary, so it’s not like he would be forcing you to put money in it. Just like with shareware, if you like it and want to contribute, the option is available to do so.
The people who gave Mark Evanier ~$1000 didn’t have their arms twisted. He’s done some good things to his site of late and usually has excellent, entertaining, or provactive posts. I’d tip him.
Just like with the violinist in the subway. If the talent brings you pleasure, why not acknowledge it with a tip?
Just noticed that PAD already has a Tip Jar (“Make a Donation”). Moot point.
I would love to see comments from you on past works like Spider-Man 2099, Captain Marvel, Supergirl & Yong Justice. Comments in story arcs things that didn’t make it to final print and silly thing fans ask about it all the time. What you liked about particular that book, what you didn’t, what you have done differently, trivia stuff that people might have not notice the first time around…
It would certainly give new life to old books, and it could be neat for some of us that have follow your past series not to mention it would make tons of people come back for these kind of things.
Marcus
Could you put the BID columns in a separate section, so we don’t have to wade through the archives to find them?
Thanks,
Daniel M.
