I have a pitch for a TV series—four page proposal and a script for the pilot—and no one to get it out there. If you’re an agent and like my work, contact me at padguy@aol.com. Thanks.

I have a friend who works at a talent agency. I don’t know if they’d be interested but I sent her a note about it, along with the link to this post.
Good luck, I’d love to see a new TV show by you.

I know next to nothing about the business side of getting a book published or script produced. But in my near-ignorance I’m surprised that, with so many years of having your works published, in several different media, you don’t already have an agent(s) to reach out to.
.
I can’t find a phrasing for this that doesn’t sound at least a little insulting to my ear, and I do NOT mean it that way, but is blog post really the avenue you have to find one?
I’m asking because I’m curious about how it works.
If, after all this time, he still has “no one to get it out there”, he’d be best off facing reality and making plans to spend the rest of his working life scrubbing toilets at Wal-Mart.
PAD: Spoke to my law partner who does entertainment law, sorry but he didn’t have a name. He does advise being careful, under NY law agents, managers and lawyer all have separate and distinct lanes. Years ago he represented a celebrity who had an “agent” trying to wear all three hats. It turned into a real mess. NY requires that agents be licensed. Good luck on the search.
