For the first time in years, I was able to walk into a standard box store rather than a Big & Tall shop and buy several pairs of pants. A necessary purchase because I’ve dropped four inches off my waist and so the trousers I’d been wearing kept threatening to slip off.
I’ve lost a total of 57 pounds so far. Still have a long way to go, but at least I can shop for clothing without having to go to special stores anymore.

Wow! Congats, Peter. That’s been one of my dreams too.
Way to go PAD!!
That’s a great feeling, isn’t it? 57 pounds is a great accomplishment – good for you! Stay strong, and stay healthy.
Very Cool PAD. Keep it going.
Nice! Once again, congrats.
Don’t worry about the “still have a long way to go” part. Focus on the “I’ve lost a total of {x} pounds so far”.
You’re doing great. Please don’t lose sight of the progress that you’ve made while thinking about how far you may think you have to go.
Well, done, sir. As someone trying to drop a few pounds, I find your success motivating. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations! As long as you’re feeling better and able to do more of the things you want to do, you’ll have the incentive to forge ahead.
Excellent. Well done!
More power to you Peter. I’ve also been slowing and steadily losing weight this year, and I’m trying not to yo-yo.
Kudos!
Congrats!
Well done. My wife lost 70 lbs over the space of around a year – totally transformed her.
I did something similar a couple of years ago. Stopped eating all sugar and carbs, except for green veggies, meat , dairy and raw nuts. The weight flew off. However, in the past year, the weight has crept back up, even with no change in diet. So, don’t throw away those old clothes just yet.
Well done. As someone who enjoys too much food and too little exercise myself, I totally get how much motivation that requires. Keep going, even when the scales are not co-operating!
Simon.
Excellent news, PAD — congrats all around! (Less around than before, though. 🙂
Well Done! 🙂
I know the feeling – May 2015 -buying Size 18 Shorts and Jeans
May 2016 – Size 10. No longer “Plus Size”. Weight loss and improving health are a process, a marathon. But dropping out of that “Plus” or “Big & Tall” category is a great milestone.
