I think they should do an episode of “Boston Legal” where Burt Reynolds guest stars as Denny Crane’s older, no good brother, Danny Crane.

  1. I can see it no Danny Crane is a Doctor who has never lost a patient and suddenly he loses and is sued and he wants Denny to prove it wasnt his fault so he can maintain his track record. Will they both lose a case? Will Danny sleep with Poole? Will Denny every forgive JJ Abrams? TUNE IN.

  4. Hmmm. The guest appearance that I would love to see is Leonard Nimoy as a former ROTC buddy of Denny Crane.

    Sigh! If we could only have had the firm representing Deforest Kelly for a medical malpractice case.

  5. No. Adam West. And towards the end of the episode, there is a big 1960’s-style fight scene, with obvious stunt doubles.

  9. Actually the Shat and Adam West have worked together before, as anyone who was at Mystery Trekkie Theater 3000 a couple years ago will remember. “Alexander the Great.” If you can find a copy online, as I was able to, it’s a can’t-miss of mid-1960s awfulness.

  10. That was my very first encounter with Mystery Trekkie Theater 3000. And I deeply regret that.

    As enjoyable as the following ones have been, Alexander The Great set such a high bar that I don’t know if you can EVER top it.

    Unless someone tracks down that movie Shatner did in Esperanto…

  12. My friend Don came up with this idea and I’d love to see it: introduce Patrick Stewart as the head of the London offices of Crane, Poole and Schmidt.

    It’s available. The only remaining print was discovered a while back and it’s in surprisingly good shape. If you can’t find a copy you could download it at http://www.cinemageddon.org/details.php?id=2818 (I believe it is in the public domain).

    A strange movie. Shatner is quite good in it (For more Shatner goodness, try THE INTRUDER).

    I want to see Punisher outted as a skrull for two reasons:

    1. Never liked killer as hero thing.

    2. would find it amusing to see the punisher logo in Green with pointy ears.

    As long as we’re playing Trekkie-fantasy, how about a marital dispute between characters portrayed by Leonard Nimoy and Arlene Martel, who is having an old-folks affair with one played by Lawrence Montaigne?

    But putting Brad’s and Tim’s ideas together is probably fanboy overkill….

  19. My two cents… much as I love the show.
    When Denny had his little episode in episode 2, he died. The remainder of the episodes are either all taking place in Alans head, or Denny’s dying head. But either way, the episodes get more and more bizarre up until the season finale. Probably ending with Denny before the Supreme Court again or something. And at the end, we cut back to the episode 2 scene, and we realise Denny’s gone for good. It would be an off-the-wall ending for a very off-the-wall show.

  20. Actually, long years back, I had this stupid notion of a TNG/LA Law takeoff called LA Law: The Next Generation. The Enterprise has been converted into a spacegoing law firm and courtroom, with Picard as judge. Worf would be the Harry Hamlin character, in an Armani suit… with Danny Devito as his sleazy little brother, Woof…

    Opening sequence was cool, too. Enterprise does a slow flyby, and the camera pans around to the main hangar bay, with the door rolling down as we focus in on the words LA LAW: THE NEXT GENERATION.

  22. I personally would *LOVE* it if it were at all in any way shape or form to get Tom Baker on the show for a guest spot. Tom could be a rival lawyer or Denny’s arch nemesis from college or something, but how great would that be? Two aging Sci-fi icons with some what inflated egos being allowed to go at in a no holds barred scenery chewing free for all. Who do I write to to make this happen?

  25. Going back to Burt Reynolds (as I never liked BOSTON LEGAL), I got a recent kick watching MY NAME IS EARL. In season 2, they had Burt Reynolds as the rich, eccentric owner of half the businesses in Camden County. (“If he’d been poor, people would have called him crazy. Since he was rich, everybody called him ‘sir.'”) In an episode from 2 weeks ago, when Seth Green’s character asks Earl “Have you ever seen a movie without Burt Reynolds in it?” Earl answers, “Not all the way through, no.” HA!

  26. My wife wants to see Harry Anderson from Night Court show up as a judge that Larroquette appears before.
