My father is gone

My father, Gunter David, passed away today at 2:53 in the morning. He died of cancer at the age of 85. He has been in hospice care for some weeks and lapsed into a coma several days ago. He died in his own bed, with his daughter Beth and my mother lying next to him.

I miss him terribly.

  16. My own dad died when I was 11 back in 1988 and I was so angry at him for leaving me. You never get over it and nor should you, but you do have to keep going on, for your family and for your yourself. But I hope you catch a break sir, you appear to have been in the wars recently. Never forget your writing helps people, especially this 11 yr old who collected your star trek back in the day and helped him through tough times.

    My condolences. Having just lost my Dad on Easter Sunday, I know how hard it is.

  27. Very sorry to hear of your loss Mr. David — hard to do now, but as time passes, focus on the time you were able to share with your Father.

  29. I’m sorry for your loss, my father passed away last august from similar circumstances. after it was over I was amazed at how professional the hospice organization is. they took care of everything and made the experience less painful.
