My wedding anniversary

Seventeen years ago today, I married Kathleen O’Shea.

You should understand that when my first marriage broke apart, I thought that was going to be it for me. I would never find a woman to love me again. My three daughters would eventually move out and I would be left alone to live out the remainder of my life.

Kathleen changed all that. She gave me a new life to live for. A new child to raise. An entirely new world in which to live. Not a day has gone by where I regretted the promises I made seventeen years ago to love her for the rest of my life.

I could not survive without her.

Thank you for being with me all this time.

  1. Thank you, Peter. I’m approaching only my sixth anniversary with my second wife, and feel much the same. She is and absolute joy and gift to my life, and I feel younger at 64 than I did at 50.

  2. Congratulations Peter! My spouse and I just celebrated our own sixteenth anniversary.

  3. Congratulations! May you live as long as you want, and love as long as you live!

  4. Congratulations to you both. Always lovely to hear how much people love each other, thanks for sharing your happiness with us. Wishing you continued love and happiness.

  5. Never took the plunge myself, but I recognize happily when others do and can make it work. Congrats to both of you.
