Space Cases, part 1

OK, OK, so I wasn’t really in the frozen north. I got as far as Montreal, which is where I’m writing this.

What I’m doing in Montreal is overseeing the culmination of a project that’s been in the works for nearly two years. It’s a pilot for a TV series for the kids’ network, Nickelodeon. I haven’t written about it until now because, being habitually paranoid, I refused to take for granted the notion that it would ever get made. Of course, that’s hardly a guarantee that it will get on the air, but I figure, what the heck.

Ariel’s Cancer Walk Update

Thanks to you guys, Ariel was able to exceed her goal for the cancer walk. I should mention that quite a number of kids gave up around three in the morning or so, but Ariel kept at it all the way through to 6 AM.

I’ve since learned that they are continuing to take donations through to the end of June. So if you haven’t put in for this very worthy cause, you still have time to do so. Refer to the June 3 entry for the details and link.

I don’t ask a lot of you guys. We don’t harangue you about donating money for the upkeep of the site and all that. But in this case, if you can donate, please do. We get thousands of hits on this site; if every person reading this puts in even $10 it will send her fundraising through the stratosphere. I’d like to see that happen.
