My San Diego Schedule

To some degree, I know this is an exercise in futility. One of my ten rules of San Diego is that a pro can post his schedule on his website; he can have his signing schedule up in lights at the Marvel Booth; he could take out an ad in the program book. And STILL people are going to say, “Where the hëll was (fill in the name)?! I couldn’t find him anyway!”

Nevertheless, hope–but not common sense–springs eternal, and so in that spirit, here’s my schedule for the con:

THURSDAY

1:00-2:00 ……..Marvel Booth signing, Booth 2329
3:00-4:00…….. Coheed & Cambria signing, Booth 2743
4:00-5:00 …….. Movies into Comics with IDW, Room 9
5:30-6:30…….. Creating The New Mythology, Room 30CDE

FRIDAY

10:00-11:00…..Marvel: X-Men, 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Room 6DE
4:00 – 5:00……..Coheed & Cambria signing, Booth 2743

SATURDAY

11:00 – 12:00….Coheed & Cambria signing, Booth 2743
12:00-1:00……..Marvel signing, booth 2329
2:30-3:30……….Words to pictures (novels into comics) Room 5AB (IDW)
4:30 – 5:30………Disney’s Epic Mickey, Room 9

(UPDATE) I will not be on the 4 PM Writing for Comics panel. The distance between the two rooms is simply too great to make my attending it reasonable, and I had committed to the Epic Mickey panel first.)

SUNDAY

11:00-12:00…..Halo Universe Panel, Room 32AB
1:00 – 2:00……. Marvel Booth signing, Booth 2329
300-4:30………Moderator, Pro/Fan trivia, Room 4

  1. Wow, looks like you’re going to be kept rather busy this year, PAD.

    Alas, I won’t be attending this year. So, you’re on your own when it comes to ‘discussions’ about websites uploading all of your comics and how you get them all shut down, giving advice on what to go see at Disney World, and any spur the moment shopping for one of your comics to give to John Barrowman. 😉

  2. I helped run a con where we had 8 writers in various panels (we normally have 1 or 2) and had someone complain that there wasn’t anything about literature – it was all about gaming.

    People perceive at cons what they want to perceive. They’re usually wrong.

    That’s the only way I see you meeting that schedule.

  4. I didn’t know you were working on an Epic Mickey comic! I guess it makes sense, since both Junction Point Studios and Marvel are now owned by Disney — a nice confluence of talent. I worked with Warren Spector on Deus Ex from 1998-2000; it was the high point of my career. Wish I could be there.

    1. I’m looking forward to the Epic Mickey game a lot. When I heard that Peter was doing the Epic Mickey comic (via Warren Spector’s blog) I got very excited. I bet the comic will be just as great as the game looks like its going to be.

  6. Could you do me a huge solid and score me a deluxe edition of Year of the Black Rainbow with the book if there’s any available at the Coheed booth? I ordered it in Mid-April from Amazon and they still haven’t shipped it yet. Said their supplier doesn’t have any copies. I’ll totally spot you the cash, I’m good for it.
