Previous installments: Part 1 – Part 2
In the past two weeks I’ve been juggling a young adult novel, a screenplay, income taxes, and my daughter’s Bat-Mitzvah. With all those balls in the air, I’ve got my butt in a sling, which means—yes, that’s right—a quick fill in. And that means one of two things:
1) Top 10 list
or
2) Barf bags
Show of hands. Who wants a top 10 list? Please, no pushing. No, you over there, you can’t raise both hands. Yes. Okay. Thank you. Hands down.
Okay. Who wants barf bags?
Ah, that’s rather overwhelming. OK, then—
From the Wonder-Con excursion, we wander back into vomitous territory with Dave Sim’s “Mick” (Dave was one of the original contributors to the set that was stolen); Arn Saba’s “Neil the Horse” (making a comeback on stage); and (how’s this for a rarity?) Neil Gaiman’s own rendering of Morpheus, “The Sandman,” in the logical follow-up to “Dream of a Thousand Cats.”
And to both of you readers who wanted a top 10 list—sorry. Better luck next time.
And a few more from the BID book collection:
Peter:
When you run the old columns, I’m always hoping for updates.
In this case: Are you still collecting barf bag art? If so, how about posting images of some of your more recent additions?
Yeah, I was just wondering myself if you’re getting new art (whether or not you’re actually COLLECTING ’em…) since you re-ran the first column here.
.
Unfortunately, the few flights I’ve been on since then haven’t had barf bags in the seat pocket.
