There’s not all that much to say here…

…except that this transcends the concept of ‘Too much time on his hands’ and raises it to a whole new level.

  1. Wow, that was really impressive.
    .
Was anyone else weirded out by how the music wasn’t from Star Wars? It was really well done, it just seemed like universes were clashing to hear word put to Superman music to sing about Star Wars.

  2. I came across this months ago… and it’s still just as awesome.
    .
I actually like that none of it was from Star Wars. That would’ve seemed kinda redundant to me. Also, if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s being sung, I’d swear he dubbed Luke’s whining straight from the movies.

Kiss a Wookiee, kick a droid, fly the Falcon through an asteroid…

  3. I’ve been re-watching this video for months. My kids keep requesting that we play it every so often. John Williams is ‘da man!

  4. I’ve loved this video for about 14 months now. The funny thing is, that’s not him singing. Corey is lip-singing to a Moosebutter track. Still, his acting and visual presentation is great!

  5. Just to give credit where credit is due, this guy just lip synced this. The band that wrote/performed it is Moosebutter, and is available on their album “See Dee.” Here’s a website I found for them.

      1. “Sunnuva bìŧçh” good or “Sunnuva bìŧçh” bad?

The fact that this guy went to the trouble of choreographing and editing this lipsync of some off-the-radar geek quartet still says “transcends the concept of ‘Too much time on his hands’ and raises it to a whole new level” to me.

  6. I’m disappointed, too. I had also thought it was him and was impressed by how much work went into this.

And I’m the one who sent it to Peter.

    Nice start to the morning.

  7. In his defense, he does give full credit to the musical group when you click the “more info” portion of the page. He also gives links to the Moosebutter website as well as a bunch of information about the video itself. And regardless of whether he was doing the singing or not, that was one of the best YouTube videos I’ve seen yet.

  8. Also, a lot more people have hear of the Moosebutter (or are they ‘the Moosebutters’?) before Corey uploaded his video. I too was a little disappointed when I’ve learned the truth, but now? Now I think it’s awesome anyway.

  9. Yeah, when this first was publicized over a year ago, it was also revealed that YouTube pays for some of their “amateur” videos to drive traffic to their site, and that this was one of them. So it may not have been “too much time on his hands.”

Having said that, I and my daughters love this.

  10. Ðámņ you, Peter. I watched this about a billion times back when it was first making the rounds, and now you have to go and bring it back into my life.

    1. Well, that’s easy to take care of, Dan. All you have to do it go to youtube and watch and listen to the “Pants On The Ground” song from “American Idol.”
