New Rules for “Potato Moon”

potato_moonIn order to try and accommodate the large number of folks we already have in line (with more coming in each day), we’ll be changing the 24-hour rule slightly.
Don’t worry, you’ll still have 24 hours to write your entry. But we’re not going to stick to the 9 AM slot, because so far contributors have taken much less than 24 hours to write their installments. So I figure, why not take advantage of that?

So instead contributions will be posted right after I get them and clear them. The next contributor will be informed immediately and have 24 hours from that point to turn in their installment. If they get it in sooner, it goes up that much sooner, and we can get a really good rhythm and flow going. At least that’s the plan.

And anyone who is a latecomer and wants to get current, check under the “Category” section on the right and you’ll see “Potato Moon” has its very own.

And just remember: The moon as eyes.

  1. Sounds good!

Besides, if a reader is away from the site long enough for two installments to go up, they can just scroll down. Nice advantage of a website over TV.

  2. Are you emailing people back to confirm if they’re on the list to write? Otherwise it’s hard to tell if my message reached you.

    1. I hadn’t been doing that because if they respond, it then moved their original posting in the running order. But if you’re really nervous about it, send a follow up that says, “Did you get my previous e-mail?” and I can verify it.

  3. I don’t suppose you could post a list of names in the order they’re slotted for?

  4. I still think this whole endeavor should have been called “naked came the potato moon”
