Not that my opinion ranks with all those great reviews but I’m very much enjoying the read. And when I finish I’m going to read it to my nine year old. I think he’ll like it as much as me.
Well, PAD,
Good for you. I’m glad my favorite author is doing well with his current write. I finished it and kinda looking back, felt the book take me to some of your previous writing style. At the beginning, I experienced something kinda like Sir Appropos of Nothing book 1 where he was a kid living in that town fending for himself. That atmosphere of Kid Appropos reminded me of Paul running around his neighborhood. Then later on, in Anyplace when everyone is together trying to retrieve stuff, kinda reminded me of Tong Lashings when he was on the boat, and with that tribe of Chinpanese. I don’t know if you will agree, but alot of the experience was reminiscent of Sir Appropos. Do you agree PAD?

It’s this months pick to read for the Bokk of the Month club at comixtreme.com. The reviewers there are big supporters of you.
What I have to say has nothing to do with this blog. If you read this Peter David I would like my question answered, whatever ever happened to the SpyBoy series? I just picked up a copy of the Final Exam paperback and really enjoyed it! I’ve been looking all over to find the next volume but have found nothing. So what happened?! Did DarkHorse decide to stop its run or something?
You know, a ton of people asked me about “Spyboy” during the Chicago Con. He apparently still has a significant number of followers. Dark Horse has, to my knowledge, no plans to produce more stories. So write to DH and ask them what’s going on, because I have no answers for you.

Can you provide me a link to this? I went over to the site and couldn’t find anything along those lines.

Re: the Comixtreme book club thing…
Try this, in their forums:

I can’t say that I’m surprised. I read it today, a very pleasant way to spend an Independence Day. It reminds me of some of my favorite childhood fantasies – A Wrinkle in Time or The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. It’s a book that captures the magic and wonder of childhood without talking down to adults. I look forward to reading it to my kids someday when I leave Anyplace behind and settle in the real world as an Adult.

They are just getting started, with the book club and Tigerheart is first up. This is a good comic site, with 80% less snarkiness than other comic sites. Gail Simone, Dan Slott, Chris Cross and Soto post there. And you have a lot of fans there.
Here’s a review for X-Factor #32:

Will you have any copies with you next weekend at Shore Leave? I was thrilled to buy your Writing Comics book, and got a huge kick out of having you sign my “Q-Squared” as “David Peters.”

Hey PAD,
Quick question, unrelated — a few weeks ago you mentioned you were on the Bat Segundo show. I found their website and have been checking periodically but haven’t seen your episode crop up. Any news?
Yes, I will have copies of “Tigerheart” with me for purchase at the convention. Not a ton, but some.
As for Bat Segundo, nope. Haven’t heard a thing.
PAD
I’m about a third of the way through, and I can tell it is going to be one of my favorites.
PAD – Any chance that there will be an audio version published? (I commute 100 miles -round trip- a day, and audiobooks make the LIE madness bearable.)
