talk about last minute additions! I just stored all my comics under our bed…and the bins are too big to drag out under the frame. If you see a guy hobbling up to your desk, wearing a toddler on his back, maybe with a black Superman t-shirt, that’ll be me.
Darn — if the Tigerheart signing were on Friday, I could be there, as we’ll be in the area anyway. Sunday is a no-go.
I’m sure it’ll go well even without me. 🙂

Are you going to be at San Diego this year?
I was at the Chicago one 2 years back and I met you there. I remember I didn’t recognize you and you were like, yeah, its me. I then proceeded to listen to your lecture on writing for Comics but my wife and I were tired so we left. I asked you if you were gonna make an Imzadi III and you laughed. If you do make another novel for Galactica, I recommend binding it like Adama’s book with one corner beveled. That would be really awesome.
NOW you tell me? The only reason I ever GO to these cons is to stop by and shoot the šhìŧ with you.
I’ll have to give my friends a copy of FALLEN ANGEL #25 to take along with them. Speaking of, by the way, I converted the manager of my local comic shop into a huge FA fan, and he’s pushing sales of the book. 🙂
and shoot the šhìŧ with you.
That sounds rather messy.
Are you doing any other signings for Tigerheart in the city? Not sure if we’d be able to find a babysitter on that short notice, and a two year old and a train ride plus waiting on line doesn’t seem like a good combination.
PAD, i was wondering what your nights are like? Do you just go back to a local hotel in the Ohare airport area and pass out on the couch from a long day at the Wizard Con? or do you go out to downtown Chicago and have a nice dinner followed by a movie with someone famous? Or some sort of VIP pass to a party with the cast of Smallville? Just curious.
Is there any possibility that you might be coming to the Mid-Ohio Comic Con?
It used to be Thanksgiving weekend, but the new managers have seen sense, and have moved it to October 4-5.
Oh my god, I just found out from Jim Lee’s MySpace blog that Michael Turner has passed away from cancer at the age of 37. (http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=112200319&blogID=410018390)
ComicMix has the story at: http://www.comicmix.com/news/2008/06/28/r-i-p-michael-turner-1971-2008/.
This doesn’t have much to do with the subject, but I thought Mr. David should know. On September 27, Disney’s Pleasure Island will close. All the clubs are being torn down to make another collection of shopping malls and stores.
I hope he has plenty of pictures of the Adventurer’s Club, where he proposed, because the place will be gone soon. As for me, I’ll miss the folks of the Comedy Warehouse. Besides the greed motive (so well pictured in Wall-E this weekend) there’s been an increase in teen gang activity, with Orange County cops stationed on property over the last few months. And I don’t think Disney was happy with all the adults enjoying evenings during Gay Days there.
Funny that Disney created PI as a way to compete with the downtown Orlando clubs. Now that those downtown clubs are pretty much extinct, Disney decided to kill their replacements.
Hi Peter,
Is there any chance that you’ll be at the San Diego Comic-Con next month? I never seem to catch you when you’ve attended and I’m a big fan of your Star Trek novels.

Apologies for the triple-posting – my computer wasn’t showing that the comment submission had gone through.
We missed it…kids started getting sick Tuesday, and still are nursing mild fevers, so we had to pass. Hopefully you can come next year, and I can finally stop telling my wife how much I’d like to get you to sign my Death of Jean DeWolff issues of PPTSSM.
Thanks for the great reading Mr. David……
My friend and I….you might remember the 2 black gentlemen in the room…discussed your work for the rest of the evening….seeing that your panel was just about the only thing worth going to on Saturday…I was glad I came out…
