PAD, any subtext to your post, or did you just see that pic and get a chuckle?
Today the part of McCain will be played by Don Rickles!
Oh God. I just had a thought flash with McCain in a cutaway gag dressed as a player in Kabuki theater. Not a pretty sight.
Actually it was Kathleen’s joke. She saw the picture and likened it to the joke that Bob Kelso has used several times on “Scrubs.”

Conservatives are definitely not being represented by McCain.
For me, the difference between McCain and Clinton is age, and gender.
What I don’t get is that, everyone that’s been yelling about how bad GWB has been over the last 8 years, now seem to want to place someone in office who is actually a worse choice.
Faced with a choice between Clinton and McCain… I’m not sure what I’d do. Because, I don’t see a choice there at all.

I don’t know. For some reason, the picture…
scares me.

McCain is worse than Bush? I just don’t see that. In every way that anyone could possibly compare the two, McCain seems like an improvement. Even if you don’t think he’s *good*, I don’t understand why you’d think he’d do things that are worse than what Bush did.
Not sure how to cotact ya Pete but Dave Sim is posting at http://www.tcj.com right now kinda intresting 🙂
Personally I’m a political agnostic – I accept that there might be politicians out there that care about us and want to improve their constituancy, but I don’t see a lot of proof in it.
So with any party leanings, that’s a funny joke!

I’m excited about this. If he would just change his immigration stance from ‘comprehensive reform’ to ‘mass deportation’, he’d be my perfect candidate!

oh,dámņ.
I thought it was the guy from the Die Hard movies running.
HIM I would vote for.
I love that joke from Scrubs, and he delivers it so well.
However, I’d vote for Dr. Cox for President over McCain

McCain is pretty much pro-amnesty for illegal immigrants, though he is emphasizing border security first to keep the anti-illegal immigration proponents from getting angrier. Non of the prospective candidates are likely to favor deportation.
I’m for Romney over McCain. For the simple reason that McCain has already proven he wants to keep the illegals here and give them all amnesty. Romney has yet to prove that he would do this, so if I have to choose between probably bad (Romney) or definitely worse, I’ll go with Romney.
Also, McCain has proven he loves to snuggle up with Democrats, so he’s in the wrong party.
I don’t know about y’all but I had an “Animal House” flash. “This is John Mcain and he’s dámņ glad to meet you.” Then I find talk of West Wing and BOOM. I saw a perfect missed oportunity in the last Ep of West wing. What a hoot would it have been had they ended it with the “A.H.” “where are they now” ending? Mind you, I have the flu and am full of Nyquil and cough meds.

Jerry Doyle?

His writing is obviously coherent enough to scare you into posting “JB”

Being able to work with the other party is not a bad thing–especially when that other party controls both houses of congress!

Not to mention that the President is supposed to represent all the citizens of the country, not just the special interest groups that have the most deep pocketed lobbyists 🙂
LMAO… Chuck Norris!!
A fast big hi to Peter!!.
Greetings from sPain!*
*I agree and yo digress. :))

I came here to thank you for all these great years of comic books. As a matter of fact, people like you make us grow and improve…though translations into spanish are due to Dolmen magazine´s journalists.
Anyway, I was thinking that… well, when I was a kid I used to memorize all the names of authors and pencilers and writers etc… strangely. One of the icons were Peter David and Rick Leonardi. Rick is unique with that style but I would like to know…wherever how was working, you both. If there was any kind of special magic or if it was as usual as other professional relationships.
Loved that Don Quixote metaphor. I lived that via the net.
I think Obama might be too liberal for me, but in the end I want him to win. I’ve had enough of all these grizzled vets who turn out to be bad or at best mediocre presidents (read: Carter, first Bush, second Bush)or who are too old to be flexible by the time they win the presidency (Reagan). And, while Obama might be beholden to some lobbyists, he hasn’t been a senator long enough to be completely bought and paid for.
At least, this man´s not so obsessed with religion. Maybe he´s living it deep and intimately.
I’m having flashbacks to old political debates.
I still haven’t figured out what McCain believes, or why he takes the positions he does, except to get elected or stay elected. That sometimes annoys me and sometimes scares me.
Today I’m going with annoyed because in politicians I try to divine whether his or her ambition outstrips his or her patriotism and/or vice versa (a good public servant has both patriotism and ambition).
I believe John McCain is a patriot; I believe his ambition is much larger. That Republicans (not this Republican, if I am one) are indulging his desires to be President in this way after eight years of his behavior…. is like giving a spoiled eight-grader wanting to be first chair… first chair in band.
Maybe I’m reading him wrong. I only met him for five minutes. It doesn’t matter; I voted for the actor.
McCain/Kelso in ’08? I’m sorry– Obama/Turk or Clinton/Cox sound a lot more vote grabbing. The problem with the Kucininch/Dorian ticket is that they just would have spent the entire four years playing ‘World’s most Giant Short Guy’ or ‘find the NORAD launch codes’.
