Well, its a better name than Inker…
BWHA-HA-HA-HA! That Kevin Smith cracks me up.
A reminder to me of the fact that I’m psyched to see Ringo back on the character.
“Your mother’s a tracer!”
Tracer? I ‘ardly KNOW ‘er!
He even looks a little like Jason Lee, doesn’t he? Excellent!
Any relation to the Tracer introduced in the Marvel Annual event of 1993?

Just to bring everyone up to speed:

Tracer looks too cool to be a bad guy! He reminds me of Vash the Stampede from Trigun. Hey, Peter, maybe you ought to give him a change of heart sometime. Turning villains into heroes always makes for a good story.
kewl. I hope Weiringo has more stuff for viewing at Heroes Con in Charlotte!!
Doggone! Sean typed out what was my first reaction before I could! Oh, well. Why is this villian smiling? Probably because he’s glad he chose not to use ‘hollowhead’ bullets as his signature!
Hooper
If you replaced the guns with a spatula and tongs, it looks like he’s ready for a dámņ fine bbq. Sorry, its the apron and goggles.
How tough could he be? He’s not even inked?
har har, Jar Jar
Okay, place your bets, madames et messeurs. How many pages after he’s introduced that Spidey makes a comment about Tracer’s “dress”?
And how many will bet that the guy will end up hanging by his feet, possibly through webbing, and that skirt drapes down over his face? (We pay double if Spidey comments, “I see London, I see France…”)
Peter I am very excited to see where you are going to take this villian in the series.
V-I-L-L-A-I-N, isn’t it? 🙂
There was a brief moment before I scrolled down when I thought you were having a laugh and saying that this was Spidey’s “redesign”.
Just looks like a lot of fun.
“If you replaced the guns with a spatula and tongs, it looks like he’s ready for a dámņ fine bbq. Sorry, its the apron and goggles.”
You wear goggles while using a BBQ? =)
From the waist up, pretty cool. I like the secret agent/covert miltary op kind of look (well, maybe except for the Impulse hair). From the waist down, though… what’s with the loin cloth? And why so long? What could he be hiding?
… what?
He even looks a little like Jason Lee, doesn’t he? Excellent!
“I’m Syndrome! Your nemesis and – oops.”
Peter has me actually reading a Hulk title and now I’m actually going to have to read a Spider-man title too? I better start making more money.

Ya certainly do if yer usin’ enough of da sauce. 🙂
Cool.
Based on cover I was afraid we’d see Doc Ock and Norman Osborn, which I wouldn’t have liked since I feel they’re both horribly overused.
I’m still not sure if I’m gonna pick up the book though it has nothing to do with PAD (him I trust) but I’m gonna wait and see how badly ‘House of M’ will mess up the character before getting into this comic, or any Spidey book for that matter.
“From the waist down, though… what’s with the loin cloth? And why so long? What could he be hiding?”
Did NONE of you guys see “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome?”
PAD
Aww so he’s your tribute or Homage to Mad Max. It wouldv been cooler if you made a villain that looked like Tina Turners character, or one that was like that Dwarf and the big guy. I’m only joking ofcourse. The guy looks cool.
Looks pretty cool, PAD.
Looks fine to me!
huh. He looks like he’s having a really good time there. And he’s got bracelets and shoulder-pads. I bet he listens to ‘Scatman John’.
: )
Lucky for Tracer he’s not a DC character. Otherwise: Batman. locked room. Five minutes.
“And how many will bet that the guy will end up hanging by his feet, possibly through webbing, and that skirt drapes down over his face? (We pay double if Spidey comments, “I see London, I see France…”)”
Spidey (actually looking) “uh.. never mind.”
“V-I-L-L-A-I-N, isn’t it? :)”
Will-Haine…it’s french.
Looks a bit like a grown up Spy Boy, actually.
Looks very cool. Has a Yasuhiro Nightow (see: Trigun, Gungrave, etc) type look to it. I can’t help but wonder what he keeps in all of those pouches.
Any chance some of the newer characters to pop up in the Marvel Universe like The Runways, New Avengers, Arana, etc. might make a guest apperance in the book.
So who does his voice?
Is that Paladin in a new get-up&code-name? I remember Peter writing him before way back…
Several people beat me to my comments, But I just got home from work. I just want to say that when I first saw it I thought mad max or spy boy. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Calling my LCS tomorrow to reserve my copy.

Spidey is an Avenger now so I’d expect some guest appearances from them, hopefully not too much though!
And why’d House of M mess Spidey? I haven’t read a single issue yet.

No, he looks just like Spyguy.
I can’t help but wonder what he keeps in all of those pouches.
Spare clips, at a guess.
