Peter will be at the PBA Cambridge Credit Classic today which will air on ESPN at 12:30 (Sunday Feb. 27, 2005). If you watch the broadcast, he is wearing a shirt with the Fantastic Four emblem on his chest and a blue bowling shirt. Ariel will be sitting next to him in a simular bowling shirt. We’re cheering for Chris Barnes who is a really nice guy.

So Ariel’s back from her trip and Dad’s taking her out for some quality father/daughter time. Sweet. All is right again in the world.
I watched the game for a few minutes, and sure enough, I saw PAD in the stands, F4 shirt and all. What was the fan thinfg he had in his hand, eh?
The fan thing was, believe it or not, a paddle with a picture of a turkey on it.
See, when someone rolls three strikes in a row, that’s called a turkey for no reason that I know. So some of us were handed these paddles with turkeys on them that we were supposed to wave should someone roll three strikes.
PAD
The kids and I usually catch the PBA on ESPN but this Sunday we had to miss it because my daughter was in the state team bowling finals in Chicago (a five hour drive from where I live). I would of liked to see you with your turkey paddle though.
does anyone have any pictures of it???
D’oh! I happened to have ESPN on at 12:30 Sunday afternoon, and heard that the event was in Long Island, and even thought that you could possibly be there, and _still_ didn’t go in the other room and take a good look at it. Oops.(It’s interesting to learn that you don’t know the reasons for “turkey,” either. I’d personally only heard of it through the hidden bowling game in “Tekken Tag Tournament” and had no idea what it was about. If even serious bowlers don’t know why it’s called that … a mystery. Which gets its own paddles, it seems.)
