Yes I did know

For those of you who have asked me, yes. I did know what Peter was up to. He kept me up to date all the way on his adventure. There are pictures up now at Newsrama that Richard took of the whole thing.
I think it looks pretty cool.

  1. Personally, I can agree with why Peter did it but, not being a fan of tattoos myself, just not the specifics of what he did.
Although if he had to get one, Leetah is a pretty good image choice. I’ve seen a lot worse on some people.
In any event, I hope it was done safely by a reputable establishment.
The best of luck to all the Davids on Peter’s new acquistion.

  2. I can see it with the baby, “Mommy, daddy is turning into a comic book!!!!”

  3. You know, they say (and it’s been confirmed by all my friends who’ve gotten tattoos) that tatoos are not unlike Lay’s Potato Chips. Supposedly it’s hard to stop at just one…

  4. Could someone post the link to newsrama so I can see the pictures?

    Thanks.

  5. I’d have to say you’re a braver man than I am. Hiromi and I just saw the finished bit.

So you and Richard “Kinky” Friedman have tattoos – that’s good company. I’m more afraid of needles that you are though.

You are the bravest man in comics today.

  6. That’s nothing Kathleen. Wait until you see his “Ed the Happy Clown” tattoo that Chester Brown drew.

(That is a very obscure comics “in joke”)

  7. OUCH!!!!!!!!!

    Well Peter:

I know that tattoos hurt (I have one on my bicep of the Batman Emblem) and it was extremely painful.

Never let it be said that you do not have the courage of your convictions.

I can’t wait to see the link to this picture.

  8. Well, I have a tattoo in the same area, just a bit smaller, and if the tattoo artist did it right, then itshould not hurt much at all. From my experience, the initial moment hurts, but no more so than getting some blood drawn at the doctors. After that initial prìçk, it doesn’t hurt. It feels like you skin has fallen asleep in a very localized area. I remember my tattoo artist asking, “Does it hurt?”

    “Not at all,” I said.

“See,” the tattoo artist said. “Feels good, doesn’t it?”

I told him it deffinitely does not feel good! But it didn’t hurt. It was just…uncomfortable.

  9. Hey everybody. Just for kicks and giggles, I decided to write a followup article about the tattooing, so if you want to check out my blog you’ll find it there.

It’s all in good fun, so hopefully no one takes offense.
