As Kathleen wrote up so well on her own weblog, yesterday was our three year wedding anniversary. Since it fell middle of the week and there was much else going on, it was a pretty low key affair for us. Main celebration was in the evening, when Kath and I went out to dinner while Ariel watched baby sister (who was, cooperatively, sound asleep.) When we came home, Kathleen, Ariel and I sat and looked through hundreds of photos taking at the wedding and during the honeymoon. Seeing pictures of my old friends from Trek conventions looking weirded out as they mingled with such guests as George Takei, Bill Mumy and Harlan Ellison. Bob Greenberger expertly directing troop (i.e., guest) movements with military finesse. Kathleen looking radiant in her wedding dress and getting teary eyed during the ceremony. My daughters and parents looking happy for me, possibly because they thought that, after my heart was busted the first time around, I would never be happy again (an opinion I shared for quite some time B.K. (Before Kath). And the honeymoon afterward–the Disney Cruise, which we took all three girls on, since Kath’s philosophy was that we would be sending a negative message by saying, “We’re going to be a new family, we love you all, and now good-bye because we’re ditching you for a week.”
And somewhere Caroline was looking down from on high saying, “Put me in, coach. I’m ready to play.”
It was a good day yesterday.

Congratulations Peter and Kathleen. Here’s to a whole bunch more!
I’m coming up on my twentieth anniversary in November, and I too appreciate the time and effort that goes into making a loving family.
Congratulations, Peter, Kathleen and the All-Girl Squad!!
who is caroline?
Congratulations also from me and I am hoping for many more of such days to come 🙂

Congratulations!
Congrats sir, in the words of George Harrison, “Love comes to everyone!” and in the words of umm, well Bugs Bunny,”Isn’t love grand?”. Hey, it couldn’t have happened to a better writer!
It was indeed a great wedding, and Terri and I had an absolute blast.
So many great moments — Peter turning his napkin into a puppet while Kathleen tried to give her speech; Harlan in his orange shoes driving the photographer crazy; George Takei being overheard saying, “You have to understand, this is normal”; Shana asleep on Gwen’s shoulder on the bus; Harlan and George discoursing on what’s yiddish versus what’s goyish; Kathleen looking radiant; Peter with the goofiest smile I’ve ever seen on his face (and that’s up against some mighty stiff competition); Harlan giving me one of Those Looks after I make some bad joke or other, then looking at Terri, putting a consoling hand on her shoulder, and saying, “It doesn’t get any better than this, you know”; Harlan’s best man speech; Bob, Kate, Glenn, Brandy, et al; Kathleen’s wonderful family taking us in afterward and showing us their magnificent house; and drinks afterward in the very bar where Terri and I first met at Dragon*Con.
I just went through the digital photos I took (Peter, did I ever share those with you? I thought I did, but it was three years ago….), and one in particular stands as one of the best photos I’ve ever taken.
Y’all can see it here.

Happy Anniversary, PAD.
Happy Anniversary, PAD.
Wow! Yesterday was my 3rd anniversary, too (although I didn’t have any celebrities at my wedding). I didn’t realize I had gotten married on the same day as one of my favorite writers.
Congratulations!

I am gratified that you two make each other happy in this world of divorce-at-the-dop-of-a-hat.

Peter and/or Glenn; any chance of a “Caption that photo” thread for Keith’s pic above?
Happy anniversary!
PAD and Kathleen,
Happy Anniversary, you guys! May you continue to make each other happy for many, many, many, many years to come!
Seems only fair that, if I can say it Kath’s blog, I can certainly say it here:
Congrats Peter and Kath.
May all your future years be happy ones.
Congratulations, Happy Anniversary, Mozel Tov! LICHIAM! I thought that the wedding photo album was stolen at a convention. Did you ever recover those photos?
Happy Anniversary!
To this day I am sad that I had to miss the big day. The wedding was 10 days before my due date with Emma’s big sister Sarah so I was not allowed to travel. But I did have the good fortune to be there when Peter proposed to Kath. That was a day to remember! (and a hëll of a story in itself) So I feel like I got to join in the celebration in some way.
Heartiest mazletovs from me and Laura on the three years!
Congratulations Peter and Kathleen many happy returns.

“I thought that the wedding photo album was stolen at a convention. Did you ever recover those photos?”
The album was never returned. These were photos courtesy of Maggie Thompson (who took a ton of them) and pictures from instamatic cameras placed as centerpieces at each of the reception tables.

why would she be “looking down from on high?”
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY P & K!
(And for those who came in late: Caroline is named after Carol Kalish, a dear friend of Peter’s who is no longer with us.)
Better late than never…
Happy anniversary, folks. See you in July…
Paul
Caroline was as they put it “A twinkle in her father’s eye” I was pregant with her by our 1st wedding anniversary which I talk about in my blog. That her first name was going to be Caroline was decided very early on if she was a girl. We still hadn’t quite nailed down a boy’s name if she had been a he.

You mean it wasn’t going to be Marine Boy?
(Ask Peter, I’m sure you’re curious now…)
Congratulations!
Well, love may come to everyone, but UPS sure didn’t leave a “delivery attempt” receipt on my door…
But more important…Mr. David, did you get your pictures back? Or did you have backup copies made from the photos? Or did other people send you their photos made at your wedding…
Mazel Tov to you both, and may you dance at Caroline’s children’s weddings!
