I’m looking for an action figure for a friend. Specifically, I’m trying to find an action figure of the Flash. But not just any action figure. I’m seeking the one that came out with body armor about ten years ago. It was part of a line called something like “Total Power.” (Bob Greenberger told me the exact name–twice–but it seems lately I’ve been short-term-memory-loss boy.)
Don’t tell me to check e-bay; been there, done that. Anyone have one for sale?

oops sorry. Missed the line about ebay
“Total Justice” was the name of the line, I believe. I thought I had a loose Flash (without the packaging or accessories) from that series that you could have, but it doesn’t match the picture at http://www.toyrocket.com/jsp/catalog/detail.jsp?id=515 so I’m not sure what series mine is from. It’s probably moot since ToyRocket seems to have what you want in stock but you’re still welcome to mine if you need it.
Also, the Total Justice figures were re-released at one point as part of a JLA line-up of action figures. The action figures were repainted; The Flash was bright neonish red in the Total Justice version, but a dark scarlet in the JLA repaint.
I’ve got one, but it’s missing about half the body armor…
Actually, this figure *is* on eBay. There’s a Total Justice Flash “with Velocity Power Suit” at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3144562730&category=2480 . If you can’t read the link, the item # is 3144562730 . It’s there for 4 days (after I post this), starts at $4.99, and the seller’s in the U.S. (There’s another one for sale from Australia.) And the seller has 100% positive eBay feedback!
Good luck, PAD.
I’ve got one, I think it’s got all the body armor, so drop me a line if you still need it. It’s got some really creative anatomy on it, let me tell you…
Doug
Son of a gun. When I did searches on Ebay, I looked under “Flash Action Figure.” The one that James pointed out to me didn’t have the word “action” in it, so my search didn’t kick it up.
Okay, I’ve got a bid in on that one. Four days from now, I’ll know. Douglass, if I don’t get it, I’ll come to you.
Thanks, guys.
PAD
Just some friendly advice for the future… ALWAYS waiti until the last minute to bid. It keeps the price down considerably.
I have a Flash Figure Mint in Box from the Total Justice Line if you want it. I was looking to sell my set of figures from the TJ line anyways.
Glad you bid, PAD — good luck! As for eBay searches, it’s always a good idea to make a list of supplemental words, and word combinations, when looking for something. Some posters include words you wouldn’t expect, while others misspell words. I’ve found a lot of good stuff after the first search didn’t work.
It sounds like you already have a couple of leads, but I have one in the original packaging that you could have if the others don’t work out.
Doug, define “creative anatomy”
Good Luck PAD!
I have some of the Total Justice figures. It was cool that they came out with a line of DC figures that included so many characters from recent comics. (As opposed to the “all Batman, all the time” thing that was happening for a while).
I’m guessing that what Doug meant by creative anatomy was that the musculature was a bit exaggerated on the figures in that line, especially on the earlier figures in the series. It especially looks odd on the Kyle Rayner figure they did.
Doug, define “creative anatomy”
Odd musculature and a pose that would be a chiropracter’s dream patient, as I recall.
Hey PAD, It looks like I’m most likely too late to help but if you find yourself still sans the figure in a few I have one out of the package but with full armor. Just drop me a line and it’s yours for the incredibly low price of free.
Yeah Jamie…the Flash was pigeon-toed–who knew?
Yeah, I’ve got one mint-in-box also. He makes a good wall hanging. If everything else falls through, PAD, contact me. I think, however, that you’ll get it one way or another.
I have one, as well — I’ve never been fond of it, and my three-year-old has inherited it. But if I took it away from her to send to you, it wouldn’t be pretty…
Just be glad he didn’t ask you for the Reverse Flash repaint that was a Wizard exclusive a few years back. I assume that’d probably be harder to get your hands on.
PAD,
If nothing else pans out, I have the Flash you’re looking for. He’s loose, but I have all of the armor parts.
I have one still sealed in the package. Make me an offer.
I have one still sealed in the package. You want it, it’s yours….FREE (well maybe we can talk trade, as I’d sure love a signed first edition hardcover of Sir Apropos)

Let me know.
The one that James pointed out to me didn’t have the word “action” in it, so my search didn’t kick it up.
Well, given how the figure has only a minimal number of points of articulation and will only stand in one position, the seller probably had to leave out the word “action” to comply with eBay’s truth-in-advertising.
Sorry for the multiple posts, Peter. Because there is a post delay (I assume), I didn’t think my post worked so I sent it twice…then emailed you seperately.
Yikes, I’m such a loser when it comes to computers.
