On an episode of "West Wing," John deLancie played a manipulative pollster who was happy to sacrifice all sense of morality in order to win an election. And Tobey said to him, "I finally figured out who you are." deLancie's character said, "He's going to say 'Satan.'" And Tobey said, "No. You're the guy who runs into the 7-11 to buy Satan a pack of cigarettes."
Satan's real life cigarette buyer, Karl Rove, has announced that he'll be scampering off the sinking ship of the Bush administration come the end of August. The speculation is that he'll be writing a book.
Thoughts as to an appropriate title?

It'd be cool if Mark Waid did something to piss off Karl Rove so that Rove sued him and the case was "Rove V. Waid."
Or, y'know, not...

In case anybody didn't know,
Mike Wieringo died of a sudden heart attack yesterday.

RIP Mike
That link I posted doesn't seem to be working
It's on the main page of newsarama.

"The comics industry lost a luminary this weekend – Mike Wieringo passed away Sunday of a sudden heart attack. Details are still sketchy as of this time, but according to close sources, the acclaimed artist had chest pains at some point during the day and called 911, but the responders did not make it in time.
Wieringo was 44 years old. He was a vegetarian, and “one of the healthiest ones of us in the bunch,” as his longtime friend and collaborator Todd Dezago described him.
Wieringo worked every day, updating his blog and website with a constant stream of sketches at http://www.mikewieringo.com/. His last sketch was posted on Friday.

Oh come on. I think it's well established that Marley is the brand of cigarettes that Satan smokes.
"The Puppet Master"
or
"Hairless Plotter and the Chamber of Secrets"
"Swiftboating for fun and profit"?
Only one question, will he issue the "general order 66" before or after he leaves?
Interesting that you cite the WW episode "20 Hours in LA" - in Rove's case, I suspect that the episode "Faith Based Initiative" might be apropos.
I can not believe 25 entries and I still get this one...

From Karl Roves' point of view, Bush is done. He can't get reelected, so his political career is only going to go down from here, if not go away completely.
What if Rove is going to look for the next easily controlled politician to mold? What if he's just getting ready to start the cycle over again?

McCain probably lost his soul in a deal for top-republican support to become president. His stand on the war is the closest to the current administrations, and he's probably the best candidate in terms of sheltering the Bush administration. I don't doubt Rove has a bag packed to ride the "Straight Talk Express."

You know how you can tell Rove is evil? Because he looks just like the glasses wearing nazi from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I love this list... but my thought: give Rove (who after all is so telegenic) his own soap opera/drama:
"As the Turd Blossoms"
It could run for years (much to our chagrin).
Pilot: Cowboy Boots and Charisma
Season 1: The Texas Campaign Trail of Tears
Season 2: Governation
Season 3: Goring the Voters
Season 4: Presidenting is Hardcore
Season 5: Boat Swiftly and Kerry a Big Stick
Direct-to-DVD Election Day Special: Live Free or DieBolder (caution: not for distribution in Ohio)
Season 6: Iraq and a Hard Place
Season 7: That's a Rap
Alas, I think this jumped the shark during the pilot.
One more thing: Meant to mention-- Peter, I was a big DC and independent black-and-white comics reader years and years ago, but the one thing I liked from Marvel, back when, was the "Grey Hulk". Fun stuff.
