Er..."manly"...

Uhm, PAD...is this your first tattoo? If not, what did your family think? Can't wait for the pictures. As always, Make Mine PAD!

Sigh...

Looks like another great mind lost to the early onset of senility.

All in the name of art!

Actually, the article says that it would be Leetah and not Cutter.

Actually, according to Peter, and I quote, "I had a picture of naked Wendy Pini tattooed on my ass."

Of course, this might have been taken out of context... :)

I take it PAD is no longer in Near Mint Condition.

You know, most fans go to Comic Book Conventions and end up paying thousands for a sketch, in order to help out the CBLDF.

And then you have PAD.

He goes to the CON and not only gets a free sketch; but also gets the Artist to pay a Grand for the work he just did.

Only in America!!!

Per running into Peter after the sketches were made on his arm, the following info:

1) Both drawings were excellent, first class, Wendy Pini art.

2) Yes, Peter did check with Kathleen about the whole tattoo thing.

3) Re: being buried in a Jewish cemetary. Hey, he's married a shiska already. :-)

Right on, Peter!

Way to put... er... your arm where the money is? WaRP's money where your mouth is?

Whatever, bold move, well executed. Take a bow.

Hey, Peter...

What're you going to do next year, get your nipple pierced?

Oh well, there goes the burial in a Jewish cemetary... :)

Peter, you're cool. Good for you.

I manned the Claypool booth where the “picture taking” of this act of charity was planned; I think Peter is a brave man as he has a fear of needles.

David Seidman had a nice comment to say about it.

Be well.

How much to have the tattoo colored in?

Posted by: Neil Ottenstein at August 1, 2004 06:04 PM

I've been a member since 1999. (At least I have membership cards handy since then.) My membersip was due to expire in September, so I just gave in a new membership.

Ah! Finally, I've gotten my problems with registering straightened out.

Anyway, ever since I read about this, I keep thinking Peter should be warned about accepting any invitations to visit the Bristol Hotel in Cannes for free, just to show off his tattoo.

If no one knows the reference, the best on-line version of the story I could find is here:

http://www.istra.ru/~gubskyr/texts/skin_f.html

It showed up as an episode of the first season TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED (when all the episodes were based on Roald Dahl stories) with Derek Jacobi as the main character. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was also an episode of ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS, since he liked to do a lot of Dahl's stuff.
