“Pyramid Schemes” now available as an ebook

Yes, the latest adventure of “Sir Apropos of Nothing” is now an ebook. You can get it here.

Now please, for God’s sake, don’t start asking me about half a dozen other formats because you only read things on iTunes or ePub or anything else. It’s out in two formats which is one format more than when I was reading books back in the day. Just go buy it.

  1. Do we get in trouble for asking where the other two Apropos books are (not to mention the comic story) in some electronic format? Because I like things in electronic format at this point, and I’d like to give you more money. 🙂

Seconded. I would gladly re-buy all your older works (Howling Mad and the Psi-Man books especially) on Kindle if I could.

  2. What about the “format” of paper ?

I hate E-books. They strain my eyes and don’t smell. Call me old-fashioned, but books should smell, ships should be called ‘she’ and Swedish meatballs should always be eaten with sauce.

    1. You mean the paperback version? That I announced a week ago? On this website? Scroll down.

I mean, jeez, guys, do I have to hand deliver these things?

      1. Wow – we are getting them hand delivered now…

LOL – I know you were joking – going to drive to the US in a couple of weeks to pick mine up…

  3. In our defense, you did hand deliver “Tong Lashing” to me at New York Is Book Country back when it came out.

T’was annoying – I couldn’t find that book for sale anywhere after its release until I saw you at the DC booth.

Was a great read. I look forward to the new one.

  4. Any plans to release the series as an audiobook? You could always do as Neil Gaiman did with Stardust and do the narration yourself.

  5. Bought. 🙂 I was waiting for the Kindle version, as it’s far more convenient to me having books on my phone or tablet wherever I go. But if it never had an ebook version, I *would* have bought the dead trees book (which I had to do for some of your other novels, such as the Starfleet Academy ones, or the Centauri Prime trilogy.)

  6. Just got it. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully sales of this and book one are good so we can get books 2 and 3.

Hopefully we’ll see the release Hidden Earth Chronicles 3 soon. I would love to read more stories set in the “Ðámņ planet”.

  7. Started reading this last night, enjoying so far (although utterly shocked at the first major incident early in Chapter 1!). But…

The formatting of the text seems really messed up on my Kindle? Sentences are regularly split over multiple lines instead of reaching to the end of the screen, for example.

I know you’re not tech support(!), but I’ve checked many other books on my Kindle and they are fine. Also, this book displays the same behaviour on the Kindle app on my phone, as well as my dedicated Kindle device.

Not *that* bothered, but thought you should know. Looking forward to finishing it.

    Simon.

  8. Peter, sorry to incur your wrath, but something is really wrong with the Amazon ebook. It’s full of random linebreaks in the middle of sentences, in the middle of dialogue, and it’s really difficult to read. Perhaps you could inform your publisher of this. Glad to see Apropos back!
