  1. With corporate mergers and acquisitions taking place all the time, the day may come when Marvel and DC are owned by the same parent company. If and when that happens, suppose the parent company opts to merge the Marvel and DC universes and you’re given the opportunity to write a team book in this new, shared universe and choose most, if not all, of the characters in that book. Who are some of the characters from both Marvel and DC that you would want to write about in the same stories; and why do you feel those particular characters would work well together?

Also, Mike Weber asked questions above about both Fallen Angel and Young Justice. You said “yes”, but it wasn’t clear to which question. So, to clarify, will there be more Fallen Angel one day? If so, when?

    Rick.

P.S. My comic shop tells me copy of “The Phantom” they ordered for me should be in this week. I’m looking forward to checking it out.

    1. That’s an interesting question. I’d love to team up the Martian Manhunter and the Human Torch, just to see how J’onn could function. And also Death and Thanos.

Yes, Fallen Angel. I don’t know when.

    1. Yes. 🙁

The first one I can see is Rick Keating’s above yours. Some people Replied to mine and I wanted to Reply back.

    2. Well, Kim Kardashian *did* break the Internet, so this sort of thing should be expected for a while.

      1. And…. then I go and hit refresh on that screen, and they all magically appear. I don’t know why I have so many problems with your site and things not updating! 🙁

    3. Same thing for me, and same as it did on a previous thread that went to a 2nd page.

I click to go back to the Older Comments, and I only ever see the 1st comment made. It even says “1 Comment >>”.

This is happening with both Firefox 33 (and before that Firefox 28) and IE11.

  2. Not working for me either no idea if i got a reply to my question

if someone who can see could let me know I’d appreciate

  3. I just finished “Artful” a couple of weeks ago. Loved it (hated the lack of sleep I got for a few nights ’cause I didn’t want to stop reading, though *g*) Any plans, even if only in your own head, on a sequel for either that or The Camelot Papers (which I read a few months ago)?

And I’m also one of the multitude who’re having problems with comments, and mine seem to be similar to everyone else’s so I won’t bother re-listing them.

    1. No immediate plans for a sequel to “Camelot Papers,” but yes, I do have a couple of sequel ideas banging around in my head for “Artful.” Not sure if I’ll ever write them, though.

  4. Did you (or do you still in some manner) intend to revisit Madrox being a “killcrop” and his relationship with the assassin Clay?

  5. This is a WordPress site running on CloudFlare hosting, and is using an old Theme called “Aeros” which appears to no longer be supported. It may have incompatibilities with versions of WordPress (or certain plugins) which are much newer than the last update of the theme itself. The problems with paging of comments is typical of such version incompatibilities: it may have worked fine when the latest theme wasn’t much older than the latest WordPress Core and Plugins, but newer versions of WP may have changed the way it interacts with themes in ways that cause such problems.

To whoever maintains this site for PAD: for now, switch to the “Twenty Fourteen” theme that comes standard with WordPress 3.9 and 4.x. It won’t have the “look” we’ve come to know and love, but it’ll be Responsive on mobile devices (unlike Aeros), and it would definitely tell us if the problem is indeed in the theme or an interaction between the theme and either WordPress core or a plugin (if the comments come back when using another theme).

If that works and solves the problem, you can either leave it at that (Twenty Fourteen is actually a pretty decent theme), or try some other modern theme, or use a customizable theme such as “Make” or “Responsive” or perhaps a theme builder such as Artisteer to make a new modern mobile-responsive custom theme for PAD.

  6. Perhaps it was explained in a comic I’ve forgotten — but why did Quicksilver’s speed powers return in THE QUICK AND THE DEAD? Was there ever any explanation? If not, then creatively, why was it left vague?

  7. While browsing through amazon’s book on writing comics,I saw an interesting title: ?Writing comics with Peter David. It seem like the book is out of print. I was wondering are there any chances of seeing the book as an ebook of some sorts?

Thanks for the hours of entertainment!

  8. Really happy to hear that the New Frontier series is coming back. Was curious if the new books are going to try and reconcile the continuity with what we’ve seen in Destiny and other books since Blind Man’s Bluff (specifically, Nechayev and Jellico) or if they’re more likely to just stake out their own independent timeline (a la the “Shatnerverse” novels). Looking forward to the new entries in either case!

  9. I hope your recovery from the stroke is going well. I miss your writing in Star Trek; please tell us you’re not permanently retired from Star Trek New Frontier, or from other Star Trek books.

  10. I would really love to read “Tales of The Crimson Keep” but I prefer the ebook format these days. Will this book be coming out as an ebook anytime soon?

  11. If Marvel was disappointed with sales of All-New X-Factor, why did they continue to publish it at a more frequent rate than 1 issue per month? Any ideas on this publishing philosophy?

    1. I have a theory and I’m curious if PAD can confirm this… if retailers are cutting their orders each month, Marvel will sell more copies by putting out more than one issue per month.

  12. Two questions, and sorry if this has been asked already I ca not see most of the posts…

    1) news on the STNF series?
    2) news on a third installment of Pulling Up Stakes?

  13. First of all, I’m a really big fan of your Spider-Man 2099. Last summer holidays I read the whole volume 1, I loved Miguel O’Hara character and was happy like a kid, when first issue of volume 2 comes up. It has a special place at my bookshelf. You and Sliney are doing a great job. But, as a fan of Miggy, I find in actual volume some… Mistakes? I thought that O’Hara went to past between issues #26 and #27 of vol. 1, because he knows that Tyler Stone is his father, but Mig wasn’t Alchemax CEO yet, so it cannot be after his trip with Xina. But in last issue, #6, Miguel mentioned Strange 2099 and even Venom 2099. Does new volume have a new chronology or what, because I’m a little confused Oo
Anyway, I love your work with S-Man and looking forward for next issues. And if volume 2 is after Venom arc, then i hope for Miguel and Venom of heroic age meeting. It would be very interesting to see, what O’Hara do, when he met a possibility to repair his fail with rescuing Dana.

  14. Is there any chance you could work with Simon & Shuster/Star Trek publishing to get your Star Trek books(esp the e-books) at a consistent price point(Some are 7.59… the hold up ones are 14+)? Right now there’s a few books in the New Frontier series that I would like, but are outrageously priced. If you need lists of the ones that I know of I’d be more than happy to help. Really have enjoyed all your Star Trek novels.

  15. I think there’s a glitch in this thread. When I go to the bottom and click “older comments,” all I get is a page with 1 comment, and no link for “newer comments.” I’ve tried with chrome & firefox.

  16. I would really love to read “Tales of The Crimson Keep” but I prefer the ebook format these days. Will this book be coming out as an ebook anytime soon? Or will it remain a paperback exclusive?

  17. I’m really excited about the upcoming New Frontier book.
Can you give us any teasers about the book? I’ve yet to hear anything about it other than it’s New Frontier.
I’ve already pre-ordered it as “Untitled”.

  18. Okay, I finally found a way to at least read the posts that were addressed to me in previous pages. Here’s hoping that the posters get notified of follow-up comments:

To Meredith: I wasn’t so much explaining to P.DAVID2 who that upstart KEITH.D is, as explaining the backstory to others here in this thread or who view it later who might not know the background.
