Going home early

I am happy to report that the folks here at Brooks are so satisfied with my progress that they’re sending me home early. I was originally scheduled to leave on February 15, but I’ve been blowing through the program so quickly that they feel comfortable with sending me home a week early. The downside of this is that Kathleen suddenly has barely a week to prepare everything for my return. And since she’s in the midst of having major neck pains, it’s not going to be an easy endeavor for her. I have every confidence in her, however, that she’ll be able to do it.

  1. Kathleen is surrounded by people offering help – lean on her to accept more of it. It’s a mitzvah to allow people to perform a mitzvah. 🙂

And yes, I know she’s not Jewish and in this case I don’t care.

Great that you’re coming home. Long Island hasn’t been the same without you.

  2. ÐÃMN! That’s great news. And, I’m sure Kathleen won’t mind hustling and working through her neck pain, just to get you home early. Godspeed ye, son.

  3. Congratulations! Somehow, I suspect your wife will accept the tradeoffs if it means getting you home a week sooner.

  4. Wonderful news, Peter! I wish you a safe and comfortable trip back to the Island and continued good progress with your recovery.

  5. Wonderful news! Really good news! Sorry Kathleen is having health issues, though. You’ll be home soon and hopefully your lives will be back to normal as soon as possible.

  6. So glad you’re making progress and getting out of there early. Although I am surprised you hadn’t discovered Dragon Dictation before this. 🙂 Continued good luck and recovery!

  7. That’s terrific news! So proud of you, man! Don’t worry; you’re right, Kath will move death stars to get you back home…
    Happy for you all!

  8. There is no measure to say how much Ellen and I like this. Keep it up and get better and better soon.

  9. Excellent news! I know from my own hospital working that the faster a patient recovers, the more they will recover — full recovery is not unknown, although one can’t count on it.

Keep at it, sir. We are all pulling for you.

  10. Great news! Confirmation that you are a man of great accomplishment. I’m sure that Kathy will have people tripping over each other to assist. I’d help, but there’s not much I can do from a couple hundred miles away.
Best Wishes for a continued quick recovery.

  11. That’s excellent news. I’m sure you’ve put a lot of hard work to get this far, so I’m glad to hear that it’s paying off.

  12. Yay, hurrah, w00t!

Knew your super-brain would beat this lousy situation. Wishing you a Wolverine-like healing factor.

  13. That’s excellent!! Congratulations and nice work!

And best wishes for quick better health for Kathleen!

  14. That’s awesome, PAD. Just keep at it, we all know you’re going to be strong and healthy soon.

  15. OutSTANDing! Awesome news, good sir. Best wishes to Kath on getting through/past the neck pain; that’s never fun … but I’ve no doubt that getting you home in and of itself will be a great help to her.

  16. Hello Sir,

So glad to know you’re doing well! I love your X-FACTOR! I’m a Bangladeshi living in France and I receive your comics from a local comic store. I hope you’ll keep on writing X-FACTOR and make us crave for more wonderful stories!
