I have had a Stroke

We were on vacation in Florida when I lost control of the right side of my body. I cannot see properly and I cannot move my right arm or leg. We are currently getting the extent of the damage sorted out and will report as further details become clarified.

  1. I wish you a most speedy and complete recovery, sir. I’m a long time fan of yours, not that I’d wish this on anyone.

  2. I hope you feel better sir. It has always been a pleasure talking to you at conventions.Get well and I’m sure your well being will be on the minds of all your fans.

  3. Mr. David ;

I have been a fan of yours for years, every since I first read your Incredible Hulk. You are one of the few truly great comic book writers left.I was startled to hear about your stroke, and I pray to God he heals you soon.I just wanted to say how much you mean to your fans, and comic book fans in general.Whenever I read one of your books I’m reminded just how much fun the comic book industry used to be,and what it could eventually become again. You take care of yourself Peter, and God Bless your family as well.

    Sincerely, Gary Lee Hauser Jr.

  4. I’m so sorry to hear that this happened to you. I wish you the best and will keep you in my thoughts.

  5. Peter:
Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. The world would be a sadder place without you or your prose.
And I hope the rest of the David clan takes care of themselves in this situation too.
    Sincerely,
    Lee Houston, Junior

  6. What can I say that hasn’t been said already, and better?

Be well, Mr. David. Be strong, Mrs. David.

  7. Your words have meant a lot to me over the years as you have proven time and time again to have a singular and talented “voice” My words could never be so admired, so hopefully they will at least be added to the choir of well wishes.

Recover. Rebuild. Then continue to kick some ášš.

  8. I’ve treasured your work for 20+ years and it grieves me to hear of this news. I shall be praying for a total healing in this matter and have faith in your complete recovery. I pray your family is covered and supported during this challenging time. God bless.

  9. Mr. David,

  10. Peter, dámņ, that’s a rotten end to the year. I hope the damage isn’t too bad, but I know if there’s anyone who can fight his way back, it’s gonna be you. Remember, your health is more important than the next deadline. Take the time you need, and don’t push yourself at stuff that doesn’t matter. (Hey, I’m the nut who took care of a deadline before having brain surgery–I’ve learned better.)

  11. I’ve grown up on your work, and wish you a speedy recovery. There are many who recover fully from horrible strokes, and I’m sure you will be one of them. I’m sending you good vibes. All the best.

  12. my father had one. as he had been deaf since age six, we were deeply concerned about what the loss of any other function would do. i am glad to be able to tell you that treatment for stroke has improved dramatically. i trust you will recover at LEAST as well as my father!

  13. Keep on Blogging Peter until the other side catches back up. After all, you need to make sure that the Perry White line from Superman The Movie relating to Clark, remains just as valid for you. May it all turn out to be minor in the scale of things, and fixable.

  14. Best of luck on a speedy recovery, sir. Stay strong and believe in the power of the body and brain. When my dad had a stroke years back I learned all about the challenges this sort of event brings. I look forward to many more years of your writing (especially in X-Factor!), but take the time to focus on your recovery.

  15. Praying for you over here! I’ve been a fan of yours since meeting you at “Tad & Craig Con”! (“Billy Barty for Arthur…!”) Get well soon!
