KONGALOOSH!

Through strange and bizarre circumstances (and the recommendation of the host) last night I found myself back in 1937, at a place known as the Adventurer’s Club.

As the Club President, Miss Pamelia Perkins, greeted me by name (I believe the name used was “psychotic loner”) I told her that I bore greetings from up north, from Peter and Kathleen.

“Peter and Kathleen? Oh, how marvelous! Are they still together?”

I answered in the affirmative, indeed they were.

“Drat. I had fifty dollars riding on that bet.”

The Adventurer’s Club is a great place to listen to stories.
To bad it’s probably the only good part of Pleasure island. :

Oh, c’mon, the Jazz club can be good when the band is good, and so can 8-trax and the beach club! My Da and I used to go there on the employee nights, back when I still worked there too, and we always had fun! (I’ve always wanted to do the comedy club, but the line is always huge.) Don’t go into Mannequins when yer tipsy, tho–’s freaking dangerous, with the spinning floor and all the stairs! Oy!

And anyway, there’s a DisneyQuest nearby, if you get too bored :) One of the last ones left, they closed the one near me in Chicago ;_; …

    Oh, my.

I may be going to Orlando this Nov. for the Society for Neuroscience conference.

And I’m a pulp nut from way back.

Thanks for letting me know this joint exists!

Heh! Thanks for the reminder of this place, as I will be visiting DW in December, and now have every intent of dragging my sainted wife here.
